How To Play Vermont Powerball

Pick 5 of 55 and 1 of 42

  • Jackpots start at $15 Million
  • Jackpots increase by no less than $5 million for each drawing
  • 2nd Prize of $200,000
  • Win up to $1,000,000 in non-jackpot winnings with the POWERPLAY option
  • Graduated JACKPOT payments under the GRADUATED ANNUITY OPTION

Draws are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM with a cutoff of 9:50 PM to purchase tickets for that evening's draw. All draw times are based on Eastern Time.

On a Powerball play slip mark five (5) numbers of your choice (from 1 to 55) in the upper portion of the panel and mark one (1) number of your choice (from 1 to 42) in the lower, yellow portion of the panel. You may play up to five (5) panels on a single play slip. The cost is $1.00 per play.

Easy Pick

Mark the EASY PICK (EP) box on a Powerball play slip for each play to let the computer terminal randomly pick your numbers. You can select EASY PICK for any or all of the 5 numbers in the upper panel and/or the 1 number in the lower panel.

Multiple Draws

You may purchase a ticket good for up to 20 draws by marking the number of draws in the Multi- Draw column (2 to 10, 15 or 20). The cost will depend on the number of panels and draws you play and if you select the POWERPLAY option. The maximum value of a single Vermont Powerball ticket shall not exceed $100.

Winners have 60 days from the winning draw date to elect a CASH or GRADUATED ANNUITY option.

POWERPLAY

For an extra $1 per play, you can multiply your Powerball prize by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times the original prize amount (for all prizes except the jackpot). Mark the POWERPLAY box on your play slip or ask the clerk to add the POWERPLAY option. If selected, “POWERPLAY YES” will appear on the ticket. The POWERPLAY number is randomly selected at the time of the Powerball drawing.

Match 5 Bonus Prize

Whenever the jackpot reaches a record level, the amount the jackpot prize increases for the next drawing may be limited. The prize money collected in excess of the advertised jackpot amount, if any, will be placed into a bonus prize pool and will accumulate until there is a jackpot winner. When there is a jackpot winner, the bonus prize pool will be divided equally among all winners of the Match 5 prize. The prize will paid in a one-lump-sum. The POWERPLAY number does not multiply this bonus prize.

Important!

Check your ticket(s) carefully. Be sure your ticket accurately reflects the numbers you want to play. Your play slip does not constitute evidence of a ticket purchase or of numbers selected. The ticket must contain all of the following items: a drawing date (or range of dates); five (5) 2-digit numbers and one (1) 2-digit Powerball number for each play selected; your play amount; a bar code; terminal number; 6-digit control/security number; date and time of ticket sale; a 15-digit control number and the POWERPLAY OPTION.

Cancellation Policy
