These three words describe every game the Vermont Lottery brings to our players. From Instant “Scratch Off” Tickets to cash games like Tri-State Megabucks and Vermont Powerball, Vermont Lottery games are designed to provide players in the Green Mountain State with an entertainment choice, a thrill of anticipation, and a smile when played responsibly.

As much fun as our games are, and as much fun as we have bringing them to you, we’re just as serious about the good we do for Vermont. Every year since 1998, all Vermont Lottery profits go exclusively to support the Vermont Education Fund. Last year alone, that meant over $23 million dollars for the state’s Education Fund.
A history of responsibility.
Since the Vermont Lottery was established in 1977, we have sought to balance providing funds for state programs with the promotion of responsible play. And we’ve done just that. The Vermont Lottery has generated more than $1 billion in sales since our first ticket went on sale in 1978. That means over $876 million in prizes to players, over $79 million in bonuses and commissions to neighborhood agents, and over $387 million in profits for the state’s General Fund and Education Fund.
We’re proud to have produced so much funding, while promoting the Vermont Lottery in a responsible fashion. This year and every year, our staff and commissioners look forward to increasing our contributions to the Education Fund, and spreading more good clean fun to players across Vermont.
