Ticket Purchased at Rutland Market 32

Berlin, Vt. – The Department of Liquor and Lottery (DLL) announced today that a $2,000,000 Powerball ticket was sold at the Rutland Market 32 on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Wednesday’s winning numbers were 18, 22, 43, 61, 65; the Powerball was 02, with the Power Play multiplier x4. The winning ticket used the Power Play option and matched all five numbers but not the Powerball.

Through the Power Play option, which requires an extra $1 per play, players can increase Powerball non-jackpot prizes won by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times the original prize amount. The 10 times multiplier will be available when the jackpot is $150,000,000 or less. If players match all five numbers on a Power Play ticket, the prize will be fixed at $2,000,000, regardless of the Power Play number drawn. Additional game rules can be found here.

“It’s always great when there’s a big win in Vermont,” said Andrew Collier, Deputy Commissioner for DLL. “All Vermont Lottery agents receive an extra commission for tickets sold that win $500 or more, so the local business will benefit, as well.”

“I’m so excited that a customer was fortunate enough to buy a winning ticket at our store,” said Mike Keiser, Rutland Market 32 Store Manager. “We’re happy to offer Vermont Lottery products for our customers.”

The Vermont Education Fund receives 100 percent of Vermont Lottery profits. The Vermont Lottery is a division of the Department of Liquor and Lottery. The Department creates and maintains a regulatory framework of licensing, compliance, enforcement, and education through partnerships for the responsible sale and consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and gaming, ensuring public safety while contributing all generated profits to Vermont communities.
